2010-2011 – Graduated from Zaporizhzhya National University (Ukraine) with Master Honour Degree in Nanomaterial Science.

2012-2013 – Graduated from University Nice Sophia Antipolis (France) with Master Honour Degree in Optics.

Current research topic (PhD)

“A quantum membrane coupled to cold atoms”

We plan to use the unique behavior of our photonic-crystal suspended nanomembranes to couple them to cold atoms trapped around a nanofiber. Reaching the strong coupling regime with such a platform will open the way to many quantum experiments on massive mechanical objects,  including the study of non-classical states and decoherence, as well as to striking application in quantum engineering, quantum information processing and quantum metrology. In our planned experimental setup, we will take advantage of a Fabry-Perot cavity to enhance the coupling with the atoms, yielding a much larger backaction effect of the atomic motion onto the membrane. Thanks to the high optical reflectivity expected with our nanomembrane, it will be used as the end mirror of the Fabry-Perot cavity. A large distance between the atomic system and the cavity with the nanomembrane will be possible thanks to the fiber. It will help to separately adapt their respective environment, with a proper vacuum setup for the atoms and a cryostat for the cavity.
